The essential features of NDT is that the test process itself produces no deleterious effects on the structure of the material under test.
NDT is used for in-service inspection and for condition monitoring of operating plant. It is also used for measurement of components and physical properties such as hardness.

We offer all the NDT principles, which include the following:

Dye Penetrant Inspection: This can be utilised for non-ferrous materials. To be detected, the flaw must reach the surface to be tested. The detecting medium may be either a red dye that is visible under normal lighting conditions or a fluorescent dye which require the use of a UV lamp.
The principle of DPI is that the liquid penetrant is drawn to the surface-breaking crack by capillary action and excess surface penetrant is then removed, a developer (typically a dry powder) is applied to the surface to draw out the penetrant in the crack and produce a surface indication. Surface cleaning is a vital part of this technique.
At Baztech, we perform three major groups of penetrant process:
  • Water soluble
  • Post emulsifiable with water rinsing
  • Solvent removable
In each of these groups, the penetrant solution can contain a dye to make the indication visible under white light or a fluorescent material which fluoresces under suitable (UV-A) light.
This process is typically applied in the following:
  • Fatigue cracks
  • Laps
  • Porosity
  • Riveted seams for the detection of leaks
  • Defect detection in castings, forging and fabrications in the oil and gas industries.
